Our Pyschiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

  • Dr. Natalie Grant-Villegas (she/her) is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with over six years of experience in the mental health field. She has a special interest in psychedelic medicine and currently offers ketamine-assisted psychotherapy at Healing Realms in Brooklyn.

    Prior to joining Healing Realms, Natalie worked in New York-based outpatient and telehealth clinics, providing comprehensive psychiatric care for diverse adults with mood and anxiety disorders, PTSD, and other mental health conditions. Her educational background includes Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Columbia University and a BA in Psychology from Princeton University. Natalie has trained with leading experts in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy and has completed the MAPS MDMA Therapy Training Program.

    Natalie embraces an empathetic, trauma-informed, and holistic approach to her work with clients, reflecting her belief that mental health is intrinsically tied to all aspects of one’s life - physical, emotional, spiritual, and social. Drawing from humanistic, psychodynamic, and cognitive-behavioral frameworks, she tailors therapy to each client’s unique needs, preferences, and values. With a strong emphasis on trust and active listening, she offers a safe space for clients to navigate their healing journeys.

  • Consultant

    Robert M Grant, MD, MPH is a father, teacher, physician, and founder of Healing Realms. He is a physician specialized in internal medicine and pulmonary medicine and has 42 years of experience leading HIV research and clinical care. He pioneered the concept of an HIV prevention pill, called PrEP, for which he was recognized by Time Magazine as one of the 100 most influential persons in 2012. In 2014, he suffered a professional and personal crisis that led him to pivot and face the challenges of human connection directly. He completed the certificate in psychedelic treatment and research (CPTR) at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) in 2016. He started the Healing Realms ketamine practice in 2017 and became certified as a therapist in Internal Family Systems (IFS) in 2019. He has completed MAPS MDMA psychotherapy training. His clinical work is done exclusively through UCSF Health.

  • Sierra Campbell, RN is a registered nurse with extensive experience with ketamine therapy for mental health in California and Oregon. Sierra spent 11 years working in community based nursing serving a vulnerable and under served population. She practices non-medical modalities for care in a variety of settings. She has a deep passion for bed side care from conception to end of life. Sierra also provides wellness by providing infusions and injections of vitamins.

    Sierra has had a personal practice of Yoga, Meditation, & Mindfulness practices for 20 years.

  • Clinical Supervisor & Psychotherapist

    Martha McCord (she/ her) is a licensed psychotherapist with over 20 years of experience. She was trained at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) specializing in Expressive Arts Therapy & Transpersonal Psychology, as well as the Child Therapy Institute of Marin in Jungian psychotherapy. She has a wide variety of clinical expertise in practical settings and is passionate about empowering people to develop the everyday tools they need not only to survive but to thrive in this challenging and beautiful world. Martha’s foci includes gender-responsive trauma informed treatment, harm reduction, as well as a unique style combining Cognitive Behavioral techniques with solution-oriented therapy.

    Martha’s approach includes the opportunity to look deeper into one’s Self if themdesire is there. She is dedicated to addressing the roots of personal and collective trauma while acknowledging the critical role of systemic forms of oppression on individual wellbeing. Martha believes it is an honor and a privilege when someone shares their thought process and life experience with her. She believes that within every crisis is an opportunity for personal growth and transformation.

    Martha completed the training program at The Center for Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies and Research at CIIS, as well as MAPS MDMA-Assisted Therapy training program parts A-D in 2021. She completed training via Harvard Medical School in Global Mental Health: Trauma and Recovery in 2022. In 2023 she became a certified Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapist.

Our Clinical Trial Coordinator

  • Anna is currently in her final semester as an undergraduate student at UC Berkeley, where she is studying Psychology and Cognitive Science. She is passionate about improving mental health treatment paradigms, especially through psychedelic medicine. She believes that psychedelics pose a unique and powerful alternative to more traditional treatment methods. Once she graduates from UC Berkeley this December, she is planning to pursue her PhD in Clinical Psychology and become a psychedelic-assisted therapist.

    Anna has worked as a student intern and clinical trial coordinator at Healing Realms Center since May 2022. She wrote the protocol for our study on MDMA for Depression in People Living With HIV, which was approved by MAPS in March 2023 and is now under review by the FDA. She is currently working on the proposal for our study on Ketamine for Eating Disorders.
