Course structure

The course is open to licensed psychotherapists and ketamine prescribers with clinical experience with ketamine therapy or Internal Family Systems or both. 

It will be facilitated by Dr. Robert Grant, MD and will include presentations from Dr. Richard Schwartz, Victoria Leftridge, LPCC, Jeanna Eichenbaum, LCSW, and Martha McCord, LMFT on special topics. You can find more on our staff here.

This course consists of four 3-hour classes that will be conducted via live Zoom video conference.

Zoom recordings of each class will be available for viewing until 1 month after the last session. Each class will be live, and participants will be able to ask questions during live Q & A at the end of each class.

This course will limit class size to 36.

Course Objectives

  • ✶

    To know the basics of ketamine dosing and use, including the expected effects on cognitive function and communication.

  • ✶

    Understand the basic concepts in Internal Family Systems psychotherapy, including protective parts and exiled parts and Self.

  • ✶

    Understand how to use IFS concepts during preparation for ketamine treatment including obtaining more thorough consent and identifying questions and concerns.

  • ✶

    Understand how to use IFS concepts during treatment and integration including identifying barriers to full experience of the medical treatment and ways that reactions to the treatment can limit responses.

  • This course is geared toward medical and mental health professionals currently working with Ketamine and Internal Family Systems (IFS), as well as those who are getting ready to add Ketamine services to their practices.

  • The cost for the class is $900 and payment is due upon registration. After registration, you will receive a confirmation email; reminder emails will be sent one day prior to the start of each class. Refund Information: Refunds are available and are subject to a $25 processing fee, deducted from the registration cost, until 9/29/23 at 9 AM (PST). There are no refunds after 9/29/23.

  • Healing Realms Psychotherapy is seeking approval to offer Advanced Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy: Focus on Internal Family Systems for continuing education credit. Please check back for updates.

  • The course will be conducted via live streamed Zoom video conference, and the Zoom link is available on the registration confirmation page; reminder emails are sent one day prior to each session.

  • Advanced Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy: Focus on Internal Family Systems is a 4-month course, and each class will last 3 hours.

  • Zoom recordings of each class will be available to participants for viewing via your Thinkific account, and will expire for viewing on 12/18/2023.

  • The course will limit class size to 36.

  • Participants will be able to ask questions at the end of each class during live Q & A time.

Refund information: Refunds are available, and are subject to a $25 processing fee, deducted from the registration cost. There are no refunds after the indicated deadline.
